I met my Marla in November 2002 at a Largo, Florida singles dance.  We were married July 10 2007.  Marla  passed away in her sleep at a nursing home about 1 am on March 19, 2024. It was the best  years of my life. I miss her every day. Check out the gallery links above for dozens of photos of Marla and her family and friends.

Marla

Marla Dobson passed away at the age of 77 on March 19, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona due to a pulmonary embolism after receiving radiation treatments for lung cancer.

Marla is predeceased by her mother, Miriam Kanarek Feldstein, father Jack Feldstein, and stepmother, Edith Schreiber Feldstein

Marla was born on October 10, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Queens and Westbury.  After completing two years of college at Cortland State University of New York, Marla got a job working in customs and import duties. That was the beginning of a five decade career as a licensed customs broker. She became an expert in deciphering complex import duty schedules. Marla formed several long-lasting friendships on the job, some that lasted the rest of her life.

Marla loved doing crossword puzzles, and enjoyed watching the TV show Jeopardy with husband Cliff and their loving dog Misha.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her devoted husband Clifford, with whom she shared 21 years of joys and sorrows, their dog Misha, her loving siblings Barbara Feldstein Silbert, Kenneth Feldstein, Richard Schreiber, step-sons Mark and Stephen, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.. Also her many special friends, some going way back to the Fourth Grade on Long Island.

Those who knew Marla would describe her as sweet, generous, selfless, and loving.  Her legacy will live on in the stories shared by friends and family, and in the countless lives she touched with her boundless compassion. Marla may have left this world, but she will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her best.
